Aliki Vougiouklaki
Aliki Stamatina Vougiouklaki (Greek: Αλίκη Σταματίνα Βουγιουκλάκη Greek pronunciation: ˈlici stamaˈtina vuʝuˈklaci 20 July 1934 – 23 July 1996) was a Greek cinema and theater actress, singer and theatrical producer. She is one of the most popular actresses in Greece, and was given the title of the National Star of Greece. Theatrically, she mostly starred in renditions of widely known Broadway musicals as well as multiple Greek tragedy plays. Vougiouklaki died in 1996 at the age of 62, just three months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Aliki Vougiouklaki made her stage debut in a 1953 Athens production of Molière's ''Le Malade imaginaire''. Around the same time, she made her movie debut in ''The Little Mouse'' (1954). Dimitris Papamichael ( el, Δημήτρης Παπαμιχαήλ ; 1934–2004) was a popular Greek actor and director. In 1965, he married Aliki Vougiouklaki, the so-called "national star" of Greece. Vasilis Avlonitis
Vasilis Avlonitis ( el, Βασίλης Αυλωνίτης; 1 January 1904 – 10 March 1970) was one of the most famous old-school Greek comedians. He performed in numerous films and stage productions in the mid to late 20th century. Vasilis Avlonitis is best known for his collaboration in films with Georgia Vasiliadou; he usually played her husband, brother or neighbour. Together they would cause laugh since he portrays the fat guy and she would be the ugly funny lady having problems with him. They would get calm at the end of the film, by resolving their arguments and/or marrying each other. Dionysis Papagiannopoulos
Dionysis Papagiannopoulos ( el, Διονύσης Παπαγιαννόπουλος; 12 July 1912 – 17 April 1984) was a Greek actor. He was born in Diakopto in the northeastern part of Achaea in 1912. He studied at the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece (Ethniko Theatro) in Athens and made his stage debut in 1938, appearing as the Knight in William Shakespeare's ''King Lear''. He excelled in Shakespeare's ''Hamlet'' as the Grave Digger and in Dimitris Psathas’ ''Fonazei o Kleftis'' as General Solon Karaleon. Stage and screen Dionysis Papagiannopoulos acted in all types of plays and appeared in more than 120 films in supporting and leading roles. One of his leading roles in cinema was ''O Kyr Giorgis Ekpaidevetai'' (Mr. Giorgis is being educated) (1977) which was the last film made by Finos Film and marked the end of an era. Rika Dialina ( el, Ειρήνη (Ρίκα) Διαλυνά; born August 8, 1934) is a Greek actress and beauty queen. She represented Greece at the Miss Universe 1954 pageant in Long Beach, California. Diallina, along with Miss Korea, Pu Rak Hi, were denied entry into the U.S. because of their alleged Communist affiliations. Dialina was disqualified from obtaining a U.S. visa for allegedly illustrating a book on Communism. In her place went first runner up, Effie Androulakakis, who won the Miss Friendship' award. U.S. Secretary of State John Foster Dulles intervened in Dialina's case and she was able to obtain a temporary entry permit. She arrived just a few days before the event, making the top 16 finalists. Effie Androulakakis was asked to remain in the competition as Miss Crete but she declined, stating that Dialina was "the choice the people of my country to represent them here."
