Dance Me Outside (book)
''Dance Me Outside'' is a collection of short stories written by W. P. Kinsella in 1977. The book contains seventeen stories narrated by Silas Ermineskin and is set on a Cree Indian reserve in Central Alberta and is about what happens in the lives of the people that live on the reserve. The Cree ( cr, néhinaw, script=Latn, , etc.; french: link=no, Cri) are a Indigenous peoples of the Americas, North American Indigenous people. Bruce McDonald (director)
Bruce McDonald (born May 28, 1959) is a Canadian film and television director, writer, and producer. Born in Kingston, Ontario, he rose to prominence in the 1980s as part of the loosely-affiliated Toronto New Wave. McDonald has directed more than a dozen features films over the course of his three-decade-long filmmaking career. ''The Hollywood Reporter'' has called him an "iconoclastic filmmaker". Several of his films, ranging from mockumentaries to horror films, have attracted cult followings. The Rez
''The Rez'' is a Canadian drama television series, which aired on CBC Television from 1996 to 1998. Bruce McDonald and Norman Jewison were executive producers of the series, which chronicled life in an Ojibway community. The series is based on the short story collection '' Dance Me Outside'' by W. P. Kinsella and its 1994 film adaptation by McDonald. It was cancelled after two seasons.
