Dana Ferguson
Dana Ferguson (born February 25, 1987 in St. Albert, Alberta) is a Canadian curler from Edmonton, Alberta. She currently plays second on Team Kelsey Rocque. Career Ferguson was a member of the University of Alberta team that lost in the tie-breaker game of the 2010 CIS/CCA Curling Championships. She played third for the team, which was skipped by Jessica Mair. Also that season, Ferguson played third for Brenda Doroshuk's women's rink which went 0–3 at the 2010 Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts. In 2011, Ferguson made the transition to the skip position after her new skip, Bobbie Sauder took some time off to have a baby. At the 2011 Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts, her rink made the playoffs, but lost in the quarter final to Heather Nedohin. After the season, Ferguson assembled a new team, that included Olympic silver medallist Cori Morris at the lead position. Saville Community Sports Centre
The Saville Community Sports Centre is a sports facility run by the University of Alberta's Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation, where it is located in Edmonton, Alberta. It features a curling rink, tennis courts and a gymnasium. Opened in 2003, the centre currently serves as the national training centre for curling in Canada. Valerie Sweeting (born July 9, 1987 in Redvers, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian curler from Lottie Lake, Alberta She currently plays third for Team Kerri Einarson. Sweeting skipped Alberta to a silver medal at the and Scotties Tournament of Hearts and won the tournament in , 2021, 2022, 2023 with Team Kerri Einarson. Career Sweeting grew up in Maryfield, Saskatchewan. In 2007, Sweeting played third for Hailey Surik's junior rink out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The team represented Saskatchewan at the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. After posting an 8–4 record, they lost to Manitoba in a tiebreaker match. Grand Slam Of Curling
The Grand Slam of Curling (branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that are a part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women (with the 2006 Players' Championship also considered a Slam), but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels. Cori Morris
Corinne "Cori" Morris (born June 21, 1971 as Corinne Bartel) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. She played lead for the Olympic silver medal-winning Cheryl Bernard rink from 2005 to 2011. Currently, she plays lead for Susan O'Connor, another member of that team. Morris grew up in Lanigan, Saskatchewan. In 1998, Morris played in Ontario, and played in the provincial Scott Tournament of Hearts, as an alternate player for the Cheryl McBain team. She would later move to Alberta. Morris joined Bernard in 2005 after playing for Heather Rankin. She has since been to the 2007 and 2009 Scotties Tournament of Hearts as a member of that team. Heather Nedohin
Heather Nedohin (born Heather Godberson; July 15, 1975) is a Canadian curler from Sherwood Park, Alberta. She is a Canadian former and World Junior champion, two-time Tournament of Hearts Champion and a two-time World bronze medalist. She is married to three time World Champion David Nedohin. She currently coaches the Kerri Einarson rink. Career Born in Fort St. John, British Columbia, Nedohin's family moved to Alberta. Juniors Nedohin won her first and only Alberta provincial junior curling title in 1996. This earned her, and her Grande Prairie rink of third Carmen Whyte, second Kristie Moore and lead Terelyn Bloor the right to represent Alberta at the 1996 Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Edmonton. Jessica Mair
Jessica Amundson (born May 14, 1984 as Jessica Mair) is a Canadians, Canadian curling, curler. She played second for the 2012 national champion Heather Nedohin rink. Before joining the Nedohin rink, Amundson was a top collegiate curler. In 2005, she won the Alberta collegiate championship. She also represented the University of Alberta at the 2010 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, where her rink lost to the University of Waterloo in a tie-breaker. In 2009, Amundson joined the Nedohin rink. The team won their first national championship in 2012, at the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. She has not curled competitively since 2014.
