Dan Turpin
Daniel "Terrible" Turpin is a character published by DC Comics. He first appeared as Brooklyn (due to him being born in New York City) in ''Detective Comics'' #64 (June 1942), and first appeared as Dan Turpin in ''New Gods'' #5 (November 1971). Publication history Due to a recent retcon, Dan Turpin was made the adult version of Jack Kirby's Golden Age "kid-gang" character Brooklyn, of the Boy Commandos. Fictional character biography In Turpin's first appearance he is one of the few citizens of Metropolis aware that a secretive war is taking place in the city between super-powered beings. When this war turns violent, Turpin's boss tries to take him off the case, but Turpin ignores him. Turpin leads the fight against the rampaging Kalibak, using the energy of the entire city to assist Lightray and Orion in defeating him. Turpin suffers multiple injuries but survives. Tom Grummett
Thomas Grummett (born 1959) is a Canadian comic book artist and penciller. He is best known for his work as penciller on titles such as '' The New Titans'', '' The Adventures of Superman'', ''Superboy'', ''Power Company'', '' Robin'', ''New Thunderbolts'' and ''Heroes''. Career DC Comics Tom Grummett began providing finished artwork over George Pérez's layouts on ''The New Titans'' #58 (Sept. 1989). He worked with Marv Wolfman and Pérez on the "A Lonely Place of Dying" storyline which introduced Tim Drake as the new Robin. Grummett remained on ''The New Titans'' after Pérez's departure and helped Wolfman revitalize the title. He began a long association with the Superman franchise when he drew ''Action Comics'' #665 (May 1991) and then helped writer Louise Simonson and artist Jon Bogdanove launch a new title, '' Superman: The Man of Steel'' in July 1991. Maggie Sawyer
Margaret Ellen Sawyer is a fictional character that appears in stories published by DC Comics, and has been a supporting character in both Superman and Batman comic books. The character appeared in the live-action series ''Smallville'', played by Jill Teed, and in the second and third seasons of the Arrowverse series ''Supergirl'', played by Floriana Lima. Publication history Maggie Sawyer first appeared in ''Superman'' (vol. 2) #4 and was created by John Byrne. Black Racer (DC Comics)
The Black Racer is a fictional character, a deity and avatar of Death in the DC Comics universe who often hunts those affiliated with the Speed Force. The character first appears in '' New Gods'' #3 (July 1971) and was created by Jack Kirby. Fictional character biography The Black Racer's corporeal form is that of the otherwise bedridden Sgt. Willie Walker, who was paralyzed during the Vietnam War. Walker was contacted by the Source when Darkseid first brought the war of the gods to Earth, and told it was his responsibility to take on the role. The Racer makes use of what appear to be skis as his means of transport, much like how the Silver Surfer, another Kirby creation, uses a surfboard. New Gods are collected by the Racer at the moment of their deaths, and taken to Hadis (the Fourth World version of Hades). Wally West
Wallace Rudolph "Wally" West is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics as the original Kid Flash and the third Flash (DC Comics character), Flash. His power consists mainly of speedster (fiction), superhuman speed. The nephew of Iris West, he first appeared in ''Flash'' #110 (1959), which depicted his transformation into Kid Flash. Under the mantle of Kid Flash, Wally was depicted as a teenage sidekick to his uncle-by-marriage, Flash (Barry Allen), Barry Allen, and a founding member of the Teen Titans. After Barry's death in ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' in 1985, Wally took on the role of the Flash from 1986 to 2009 in DC's main lineup until Barry returned in ''The Flash: Rebirth''. Even so, Wally is the fastest character to ever hold the mantle of the Flash and a fan-favorite. He would later return as the main Flash since 2021, as part of the ''Infinite Frontier'' relaunch.
