Daniel Taylor (born May 12, 1982) is an American shot putter. He is currently sponsored by Nike. He is currently competing around the world in track and field. High school He attended Berkshire High School in Burton, Ohio, and was a letterman in football and track and field. In football, he garnered first team All-North East Ohio honors. He was much more successful in track and field. In his sophomore year of high school he won the Division III state discus title with a throw of 167' 4". Taylor also holds the OHSAA Division III state discus record at 200' 11". Taylor's best finish in the shot put in the state championship was 2nd in 1999, during this year Berkshire High School was a Division III school. Daniel David Taylor (born May 23, 1938) is an American nature protection specialist. He was the head of the resources management department at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park from 1979–1996, and is known for his environmental activities in Africa, Asia, California and Hawaii. Early life and education Born in 1938 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Taylor's family lived in New Mexico before moving to Colorado in 1941 and Sonoma, California in 1948. He was the chief football writer for ''The Guardian'' and ''The Observer'' from 2012 to 2019, having joined the newspaper in 2000; in October 2019, he joined ''The Athletic''. Daniel John Taylor (born November 1969), is a Canadian countertenor and early music specialist. Taylor runs the Theatre of Early Music and teaches at the University of Toronto.
