Dan Speerin
Twixters is an International Multiplatform Comedy Series inspired by the TIME Magazine. The series was created in 2007 by satirist/filmmaker Dan Speerin of the sketch comedy group Cynically Tested to satirize life as a Millennial and to mock the false perceptions of Generation Y. The series was co-produced by fellow Cynically Tested members Alan So and Aravinth Vince Kesavamoorthy. Twixters aired on Bite TV in Canada and Propeller TV in UK. The series also aired on Triangle Stratos in New Zealand. Twixters' success and the stance of its creator on Millennial Life was featured in the Toronto Star. Other media coverage for the series included Sun TV's Canoe Live, G4 Tech TV, and The Eye Weekly Magazine. The show's indie success is mainly due to its utilization of interactive social platforms as YouTube, Facebook, MySpace and Blogs. Anna Cyzon (born Anna Czyszczoń in Kraków, Poland), is a Polish-Canadian recording artist, actress, former Canadian MTV/ etalk personality and co-host of the Todd Shapiro show on Sirius Satellite Radio. Hooded Fang are a Canadian indie rock band, formed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 2007. Band history The band led by twin lyricists, bassist/vocalist April Aliermo and guitarist/vocalist Daniel Lee, formed in 2007, and named themselves after a character from the children’s book ''Jacob Two-Two and the Hooded Fang''. Hooded fang's debut recording ''EP'' was self-released on 15 September 2008. Their first full-length album, ''Album'', was self-released on 6 August 2010, distributed by Outside Music. David Raymond Miller (born December 26, 1958) is an American-Canadian lawyer and former politician who served as the 63rd mayor of Toronto from 2003 to 2010. Following his career in politics, Miller briefly returned to law before serving as president and CEO of the World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF-Canada) from 2013 to 2017, after which he began working as the director of international diplomacy at C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. Posterchild
Posterchild is the pseudonym of a street artist based in Toronto, Canada who may be best known for his Mario Blocks project, the purpose of which is to install homemade Mario blocks in public spaces. After being featured on Boing Boing the project has expanded as others have made and hung their own blocks. Posterchild previously ran his own website, called Posterchilds Blade Diary. The term comes from the fact that graffiti stencils are cut using a blade. According to the artist, "I'm not writing this diary with a pen -- I'm using a blade to make my mark." While the website was active, it featured new artwork every weekday, typically a stencil. Usually there is a description of the inspiration for the piece written in the style of a blog. Jesse Freeston (born February 18, 1985) is a Canadian video journalist and filmmaker. He attended Hillcrest High School, where he excelled in volleyball and chemistry. History TRNN was founded by documentary producer Paul Jay and Mishuk Munier in September 2003, with the goal of creating a news network that made complicated concepts accessible to the average person. He served as a former Toronto city councillor for Ward 19, one of two wards in Trinity—Spadina and as deputy mayor under David Miller from 2003 to 2010.
