Dan Spang
Dan Spang (born August 16, 1983) is a former American-Italian professional ice hockey defenseman. He last played for Löwen Frankfurt in the German DEL2. Spang was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the 2nd round (52nd overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Spang won a Massachusetts state championship in 2000 at Winchester High School. He was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the second round, 52nd overall, of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. During his collegiate career, he was a co-winner of Boston University’s Most Improved Player Award following the 2003–04 season. Spang led Boston University defensemen in goals (nine), assists (22) and points (31) in 40 games as a senior. The San Jose Sharks are a professional ice hockey team based in San Jose, California. The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called "PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga") (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a German professional ice hockey league and the highest division in German ice hockey. Las Vegas Wranglers
The Las Vegas Wranglers were a professional ice hockey team based in Las Vegas Valley. The Wranglers were members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League). The Wranglers were founded as an expansion franchise in 2003 following the ECHL's takeover of the West Coast Hockey League. In May 2014, the team suspended operations for the 2014–15 ECHL season, allowing it time to secure a new home arena. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). Since the 2010–11 AHL season, 2010–11 season, every team in the league has an affiliation agreement with one NHL team. When NHL teams do not have an AHL affiliate, players are assigned to AHL teams affiliated with other NHL teams. Hockey East
The Hockey East Association, also known as Hockey East, is a college ice hockey conference which operates entirely in New England. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. Hockey East came into existence in 1984 for men's hockey when most of its current members split from what is today known as ECAC Hockey, after disagreements with the Ivy League members. The women's league, the WHEA, began play in 2002. Winchester High School (Massachusetts)
Winchester High School is a comprehensive 9–12 high school located in Winchester, Massachusetts, United States. Founded in 1850, it moved into its current location in the spring of 1972. Ranked 16th among Massachusetts High Schools, close to 98% of students graduated in 2016, with about 96% of those continuing to higher education. A major three-phase reconstruction and expansion of the school started in 2014 and was completed in September 2017. Most of the school was rebuilt using the original structural frame.
