Dan Grayson (1967-Aug. 1, 2021) was a former American football linebacker who played one season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 1990 NFL Draft. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. The 1990 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 22–23, 1990, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, New York. The league also held a supplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season.
