Dan Dunn is a fictional detective created by Norman W. Marsh. He first appeared in ''Detective Dan: Secret Operative No. 48'', a proto-comic book from 1933, produced by Humor Publishing. He subsequently appeared in newspaper comic strips from 1933 to 1943. Publication history Comic book Writer-artist Norman W. Dan Dunn (painter)
Dan Dunn (born 1957) is an American improvisational speed painter and the creator of Paintjam, a theatrical performance art show in which paintings are created in minutes on stage. Biography Studying painting at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, Dunn specialized in oil painting and watercolor, also doing sculpture and life drawing. While a student, he started drawing caricatures at Six Flags, Astroworld in 1977 as a college student; he continued through nine seasons. Dunn worked in advertising and graphic design but left that field to devote himself to caricatures full-time in 1989 when he launched a caricature artist talent agency, Caricatures Ink. His numerous caricatures include George H. W. Bush, Sting, Jimmy Buffett, Joe Theisman, Fran Tarkenton, Ray Childress, Warren Moon and Houston Mayor Bob Lanier. Dan Dunn (born July 14, 1968) is an American writer, journalist, podcaster and former host of the SiriusXM satellite radio program, ''Dan Dunn's Happy Hour'' and the celebrity/drinking themed podcast ''Drinky Fun Time.''. In June 2019 he launched the podcast ''What We're Drinking with Dan Dunn'', which is part of Dan Harmon's Starburns Audio network. Guests on Dunn's shows have included Anthony Bourdain, Guillermo Del Toro, Halsey, Kiefer Sutherland, G Eazy and Maynard James Keenan. Dunn is a regular contributor to ''The Robb Report''. He wrote a comedic wine and spirits column called “The Imbiber” for '' Playboy'' as well as for the website Food Republic.
