Brandy Fluker Oakley (born August 13, 1983) is an American politician serving as the U.S. State Representative for Massachusetts's 12th Suffolk State House district since 2021. Her district includes part of Milton in Norfolk County, Hyde Park, Mattapan, and part of Boston in Suffolk County. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Personal life Fluker Oakley is the only child of Rev. Brenda A. Fluker, Esq. and the middle child of Joseph G. Oakley. She was born and grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Democratic Party (MassDems) is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is chaired by Gus Bickford. 2019–2020 Massachusetts Legislature
The 191st Massachusetts General Court was the meeting of the legislative branch of the state government of Massachusetts, composed of the Senate and the House of Representatives. It convened in Boston at the Massachusetts State House, on January 2, 2019, and ended on January 6, 2021, during the fifth and sixth years of the governorship of Charlie Baker. Senate and House districts were drawn based on the 2010 Census. In the 2018 elections, the Democratic Party increased its majorities in both chambers, flipping two seats from the Republicans in the House and one in the Senate.
