Southern Stisles Records
Holland Dai'mon Witherspoon, also known as Mr. Envi', is an American rapper based out of Bossier City, Louisiana. He is the owner of Southern Stisles Records and Hood Critic Magazine and is now the founder of the North Louisiana Football Alliance, a minor developmental football league where he currently serves as the league president. Career In 2001, Mr. Envi' started releasing mixtapes locally catching the attention of a local radio personality at 107.5FM in Uniontown, Alabama, where he's originally from. This soon led him to his first single "Break His Jaw", to be aired on local radio. Shortly after, he moved to Louisiana where he felt he'd have a better opportunity to break out nationally. Mr. Envi' released his first album "Rydaz Redemption" in 2011. The album debuted at #3 on the CMJ National Hip Hop Add Charts. Select-O-Hits is an American independent record label distributor of music based in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. They have been in business for almost 60 years, and distribute artists that include Johnnie Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, Three 6 Mafia, Colt Ford, Diana Reyes, and The Texas Tenors. Company history The early years Select-O-Hits, which is owned by Sam W. Phillips and John Phillips, was co-founded in 1960 by their father, Tom Phillips, and uncle, Sam Phillips, the founder of Sun Records. Tom Phillips began his career in music as Jerry Lee Lewis' road manager for a number of years. He had invested all of his savings into an upcoming 1958 European tour when news of Lewis' marriage to his 13-year-old cousin hit the front pages. Lewis' career came to a sudden, although temporary, halt. The tour was cancelled, and Tom was broke. Chastity Daniels (born March 21, 1978), known professionally as La Chat, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. She is best known for her association with the Hypnotize Minds record label. She was one of the two female members of Memphis-based hip hop group, Three 6 Mafia, alongside Gangsta Boo. Career In 2001, La Chat made a guest appearance on the hit Project Pat song, ''Chickenhead'', which would go on to receive Gold record status. La Chat left Hypnotize Minds some time after the release of her debut album, ''Murder She Spoke'' (2001).
