''Damage'' is the eighth studio album by American punk blues band Blues Explosion, released in 2004. This is the first album that the band has released under the abbreviated name "Blues Explosion" rather than their previous name, "The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion". Spencer said about the band name change: "It's always been a band, never a solo project, The name change honors a band that allows the three of us to make music for a while. It may not be the best thing to do. Sometimes we shoot ourselves in the foot. The Blues Explosion is kind of a punk rock band. We do what we want." The album featured vocals from Martina Topley-Bird and Chuck D. The group consisted of Judah Bauer on guitar, backing vocals, harmonica and occasional lead vocals, Russell Simins on drums and Jon Spencer on vocals, guitar and theremin. Their musical style is largely rooted in rock and roll although it draws influences from punk, blues, garage, rockabilly, soul, noise rock, rhythm and blues and hip hop. They released nine official studio albums, collaborative records with Dub Narcotic Sound System and R.L. Joshua Paul Davis (born June 29, 1972), better known by his stage name DJ Shadow, is an American DJ, songwriter and record producer. His debut studio album, '' Endtroducing.....'' was released in 1996. David Holmes (musician)
David Holmes (born 25 February 1969) is a Northern Irish musician and composer. He worked as a DJ before releasing several solo albums that have incorporated elements of trip hop, big beat, electronic and rock. In the late 1990s, he also began composing film scores, establishing a long-standing collaboration with director Steven Soderbergh that includes ''Out of Sight'' (1998) and the ''Ocean's'' trilogy. Holmes is currently a member of the band Unloved, whose music has been used extensively in the television series ''Killing Eve'', for which Holmes is also a composer. He has remixed songs for numerous artists and produced albums for Primal Scream. Career Holmes began DJing in Belfast from the age of 15. Daniel M. Nakamura better known by his stage name Dan the Automator, is an American record producer from San Francisco, California. He is the founder of the publishing company Sharkman Music and the record label 75 Ark. Early life Nakamura was born in San Francisco, California on 20 December 1968. His parents spent time in Internment of Japanese Americans, Japanese internment camps as children. His father worked for the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency and his mother taught at City College of San Francisco. As a child, he learned to play violin. A jay is a member of a number of species of medium-sized, usually colorful and noisy, passerine birds in the Crow family, Corvidae.
