Daly Santana
Daly Santana Morales (born February 19, 1995) is a Puerto Rican indoor volleyball player. She is a outside hitter. She is part of the Puerto Rican national team since 2011. At the age of 21, she competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Early life Santana has said that volleyball stopped being just a game for her at the age of 11, when she made Puerto Rico's under-18 national team. In 2010, she led the team to the bronze medal at the NORCECA Girls’ Youth Volleyball Tournament. In 2011, she captained the team at the 2011 FIVB Volleyball Girls' Youth World Championship in Turkey. In 2011, as a 16 year old, Santana split time between homework, the Bayamon Military Academy high school volleyball team, and the Llaneras de Toa Baja, a professional team in the LVSF. The Honda Sports Award is an annual award in the United States, given to the best collegiate female athlete in each of twelve sports. Texas Longhorns Women's Volleyball
The Texas Longhorns women's volleyball team represents The University of Texas at Austin in NCAA Division I intercollegiate women's volleyball competition. The Longhorns currently compete in the Big 12 Conference. Texas has won four volleyball national championships – one AIAW championship in 1981 and three NCAA championships in 1988, 2012, and 2022. Beginning with the 1981 season, they have qualified for the AIAW/NCAA tournament every year except for two (40 of 42 seasons) and the most recent 19 years (2004-2022). The volleyball program was founded in 1974. Hugh McCutcheon
Hugh Donald McCutcheon (born 13 October 1969), a native of Christchurch, New Zealand, is a former volleyball coach. He previously coached the US men's and women's national volleyball team, and was the head coach for the University of Minnesota's women's volleyball team from 2012–2022. Starting in January 2023, McCutcheon is the assistant athletics director/sport development coach at Minnesota, after announcing his resignation from the volleyball team at the conclusion of the 2022 season. McCutcheon was a New Zealand national team volleyball player. He played on the New Zealand junior and senior national teams from 1988 to 1990 before coming to the United States and lettered in volleyball and field hockey at Shirley Boys' High School. The 2015 NCAA Division I women's volleyball tournament began December 4, 2015 and concluded on December 19 at CenturyLink Center, now known as CHI Health Center, in Omaha, Nebraska. The tournament field was determined on November 29, 2015. Nebraska swept Texas in the final to claim their fourth national championship. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. Big Ten volleyball is made up of the women's volleyball programs from the Big Ten's 14 member universities. Through 2021, the Big Ten has earned a combined 36 NCAA national semifinal appearances by eight different teams.
