Dallas Turner
Dallas Turner (born February 2, 2003) is an American football linebacker. He played college football at Alabama, where he named a consensus All-American and the SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. Early life and high school career Turner grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and initially attended American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida. As a junior, he was named the area Defensive Player of the Year by the '' Sun-Sentinel'' after finishing the season with 74 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, and three forced fumbles. After the season Turner transferred to St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Turner was rated a five-star recruit and committed to play college football at Alabama entering his senior season after considering offers from Florida, Georgia, Michigan, and Oklahoma. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. Some teams would use both styles of end play, depending on game situations.
