Dallas Elite
The Dallas Elite Women's Football team is an American women's tackle football team playing in Division I of the Women's Football Alliance (WFA). The team, based in and around Dallas, Texas, was founded in 2014. The Dallas Elite reached the playoffs and national championship game three years in a row, 2015–2017. They defeated the Boston Renegades 31–21 at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 22, 2017, to win the WFA Division I National Championship. Although they missed the playoffs in 2018 and 2019 (and the 2020 season was cancelled due to the global pandemic), the team earned a playoff berth in 2021. The team rebranded as the Dallas Elite Mustangs in 2020. The 2021 Dallas Elite Mustangs are owned by Maria Spencer. The head coach is Coach Hamilton. The team plays home games at Alfred J. Women's Football Alliance
The Women's Football Alliance (WFA) is a professional full-contact Women's American football tackle minor league that began play in 2009. It is the largest 11-on-11 football league for women in the world, and the longest running active women's football league in the U.S. Since 2016, the league has operated with three competitive levels: Pro, Division 2 and Division 3. The league is owned and operated by Jeff King and Lisa Gibbons King of Exeter, California. Lisa King is also a wide receiver for the WFA's, Los Angeles Warriors. In addition to operating annual national championship seasons in the United States, the league also operates the WFA International Program which organizes international competitions for its own Team United and Team World against each other and all-star teams from other nations. Plano, Texas
Plano ( ) is a city in Collin County, Texas, Collin County and Denton County, Texas, United States. It had a population of 285,494 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. Highmark Stadium (Pennsylvania)
Highmark Stadium is a 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in Pittsburgh's Station Square which is home to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC of the USL Championship. The stadium was also home to the Pittsburgh Rebellion women's football team for 2017. Three local colleges use the stadium for soccer, lacrosse and rugby, and six different local high schools will use the field for soccer and lacrosse.
