Dallas Charge
The Texas Charge were a women's professional softball team based in San Marcos, Texas. The team began play as the Dallas Charge as a member of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) with a game on June 3, 2015. They were initially headquartered in the Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas area, with most home games at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch. Seasons Inaugural season When the Dallas team was publicly announced, NPF also revealed its general manager would be Kevin Shelton, who had experience heading the Texas Glory youth program. The Charge hired former Olympian Jennifer McFalls to be their first head coach. Later, Chez Sievers was added as an assistant coach. Jolene Henderson signed with the Charge in January 2015, becoming their first player. Texas Longhorns Softball
The Texas Longhorns softball team represents The University of Texas at Austin in NCAA Division I intercollegiate softball competition. The Longhorns currently compete in the Big 12 Conference. The University of Texas began varsity intercollegiate competition in softball in 1997; the softball team competed as a club team for one year in 1996. Texas has an all-time varsity win–loss record of 986–435–3 () as of the end of the 2021 season. Sarah Purvis
Sarah Purvis (born March 23, 1992) is an American softball player. She attended Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. She later attended Georgia Southern University, where she pitched for the Georgia Southern Eagles softball team. Purvis led the Eagles to back-to-back Southern Conference championships and berths in the NCAA Division I softball tournament in 2012 and 2013. Molly Fichtner
Molly Fichtner (born 1992) is an American softball coach and former player. She is currently the head coach at Louisiana–Monroe. Career She attended Clear Brook High School in Houston, Texas. She later attended the University of Texas at San Antonio for two years, before transferring to the University of Alabama, where she played catcher for the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team. Fichtner was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 12, and played four years of NCAA Division I college softball with the condition. During her senior season in 2014, Fichtner led the Crimson Tide to the 2014 Women's College World Series finals, where they fell to Florida, 2–0.
