Dallara 190
The Dallara F190 was a Formula One car designed by Gian Paolo Dallara and Christian Vanderpleyn for use by the BMS Scuderia Italia team during the 1990 Formula One season. It was powered by the 3.5L Cosworth DFR engine. It failed to score any points for the team. Race history Driven by Italians Andrea de Cesaris and Emanuele Pirro ( Gianni Morbidelli drove in the first two races of the season when Pirro had been diagnosed with hepatitis), the car debuted at the 1990 United States Grand Prix, where de Cesaris qualified third on the grid. He was running in fifth place when he retired with engine problems. BMS Scuderia Italia failed to earn any points with the F190 during the season. Reliability was poor and the team's drivers were only able to reach the finish in seven of the season's sixteen Grands Prix, although one of these finishes (de Cesaris in France) was later disqualified. Dallara is an Italian race car manufacturer, founded by its current President, Gian Paolo Dallara. After working for Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and De Tomaso, in 1972 in his native village of Varano de' Melegari (Parma), Italy he created "Dallara Automobili". Dallara is also the sole manufacturer of racing cars for the IndyCar Series, Indy Lights, Formula 2, Formula 3 and Super Formula Championships. Dallara produces cars for endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona. In automotive engineering, a longitudinal engine is an internal combustion engine in which the crankshaft is oriented along the long axis of the vehicle, front to back. The 1990 Brazilian Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at Interlagos, São Paulo on 25 March 1990. It was the second race of the 1990 Formula One World Championship. It was also the first Brazilian Grand Prix to be held at Interlagos since 1980, following the renovation and shortening of the circuit and the ascendancy of São Paulo driver Ayrton Senna. The 1990 Italian Grand Prix (formally the Coca-Cola 61° Gran Premio d'Italia) was a Formula One motor race held at Monza on 9 September 1990. The 1990 French Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at Paul Ricard on 8 July 1990. It was the seventh race of the 1990 Formula One World Championship.
