Midlothian
Midlothian (; gd, Meadhan Lodainn) is a historic county, registration county, lieutenancy area and one of 32 council areas of Scotland used for local government. Midlothian lies in the east-central Lowlands, bordering the City of Edinburgh, East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. It bordered West Lothian to the west, Lanarkshire, Peeblesshire and Selkirkshire to the south, and East Lothian, Berwickshire and Roxburghshire to the east. Traditional industries included mining, agriculture and fishing – although the modern council area is now landlocked. History Following the end of the Roman occupation of Britain, Lothian was populated by Brythonic-speaking ancient Britons and formed part of Gododdin, within the Hen Ogledd or Old North. In the ...

Scottish Junior Football Association
The Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) is an affiliated national association of the Scottish Football Association and is the governing body for the junior grade of football in Scotland. The term "junior" refers to the level of football played, not the age of the players. The closest equivalent terminology would be non-League football in England, the difference being that junior football in Scotland was not similarly integrated into its football league system until 2021. Founded in 1886, the SJFA is responsible for disciplinary matters within the grade, certain player registration procedures and organising the annual Scottish Junior Cup. Other league and cup competitions are organised by regional committees. The association headquarters are at Hampden Park, Glasgow, which is Scotland's national football stadium. There was an earlier Scottish Junior FA, which was founded in Glasgow in October 1880. This body also ran a Scottish Junior Cup competition during 1880–81 s ...

It incorporates the Inch housing development, Inch Park and the category A listed Inch House, a former country house now used as a community centre. East Junior Football League
The East Junior Football League, also known as the ''Edinburgh & District Junior League'', the ''Midlothian Junior League'' and the ''Lothians Junior League'', was a football league competition operated in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Falkirk under the Scottish Junior Football Association. It had fluctuations in membership and territory but had a continuous operation as the top league in the east of Scotland until a merger in 2002; it existed as the ''Lothians District'' for a further four years as a second-tier league before the name was discontinued in 2006. History Junior football competitions had been organised in the Edinburgh area since the 1890s, with a ''Edinburgh & District Junior League'' formed in 1892 followed by other small groups in each part of the Lothians region surrounding the city; by the 1910s, the ''Midlothian Junior League'' emerged as the strongest of these, drawing membership from the many small mining communities which regularly produced skilled players an ...
