Dalibor Davidović
Dalibor Davidović (born 3 January 1972 in Našice) is a musicologist and university professor. Davidović studied musicology at the Zagreb Music Academy (B.A. and M.A.) and obtained his PhD from the University of Hamburg. His principal areas of research are systematic musicology and aesthetics of music. He published extensively on the epistemological problems of the music studies. In his book ''Identity and Music: Between Criticism and Technique'' he explores the contemporary music scholarship concerned with identity politics. Našice
Našice () is a town in eastern Croatia, located on the northern slopes of the Krndija mountain in eastern Slavonia, 51 km southwest of regional hub Osijek. Administratively it belongs to Osijek-Baranja County. Geography Našice is located on the D2 state road Varaždin–Virovitica–Našice– Osijek and the Varaždin–Dalj railway. Jacob Taubes
Jacob Taubes (25 February 1923 – 21 March 1987) was a sociologist of religion, philosopher, and scholar of Judaism. Taubes was born into an old rabbinical family. He was married to the writer Susan Taubes. He obtained his doctorate in 1947 for a thesis on "Occidental Eschatology" and initially taught religious studies and Jewish studies in the United States at Harvard, Columbia and Princeton University. From 1965 he was professor of Jewish studies and hermeneutics at the Free University of Berlin.
