''Dal Ati'' (''Keep at It'') is a series of Welsh language television programmes broadcast on S4C to help Welsh speakers and learners gain confidence in the language. It was launched at the 2014 National Eisteddfod of Wales. The series consists of two programmes, each an hour long, broadcast on Sunday mornings. The first series began on 28 September 2014. The two Sunday programmes include ''Bore Da (Good Morning)'' and ''Milltir Sgwâr (Square Mile)''. Welsh ( or ) is a Celtic language family, Celtic language of the Brittonic languages, Brittonic subgroup that is native to the Welsh people. Welsh is spoken natively in Wales, by some in England, and in Y Wladfa (the Welsh colony in Chubut Province, Argentina). Historically, it has also been known in English as "British", "Cambrian", "Cambric" and "Cymric". The Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011 gave the Welsh language official status in Wales. National Eisteddfod Of Wales
The National Eisteddfod of Wales (Welsh language, Welsh: ') is the largest of several eisteddfodau that are held annually, mostly in Wales. Its eight days of competitions and performances are considered the largest music and poetry festival in Europe. Competitors typically number 6,000 or more, and overall attendance generally exceeds 150,000 visitors. The 2018 Cardiff National Eisteddfod, 2018 Eisteddfod was held in Cardiff Bay with a fence-free 'Maes (eisteddfod), Maes'. Media Wales Ltd. is a publishing company based in Cardiff, Wales. As of 2009 it was owned by Reach plc (formerly known as the Trinity Mirror Group). It was previously known as the Western Mail & Echo Ltd. History The ''Western Mail'' was founded in 1869 by the 3rd Marquess of Bute as a Conservative newspaper. In 1893, the original building in St. Mary Street was destroyed by fire and a new building was opened also in St Mary Street two years later. In 1928 the Western Mail Ltd amalgamated with David Duncan & Sons, who published the ''South Wales Daily News'' and the ''South Wales Echo'', which was established in 1884. The merged company became Western Mail and Echo Ltd. and because of the merger ''Evening Express'' and ''South Wales Daily'' News closed. Various reporters also assist with subject-specific presenting, both in the studio and on location, or through filmed segments. Its afternoon sister programme is called (). Background was first broadcast on S4C on Monday 17 September 1990, made by production company Agenda (which became Tinopolis) in Swansea. It was replaced by a similar programme, (), in January 2002. returned on 1 March 2012, after Tinopolis won a £5.1 million contract. The show is broadcast from Tinopolis's Llanelli studio.
