Daisuke Jigen
is a fictional character created by Monkey Punch for his manga series ''Lupin III'', which debuted in '' Weekly Manga Action'' on August 10, 1967. Jigen is the marksman, aide-de-camp and best friend of Arsène Lupin III. Along with colleague Goemon Ishikawa XIII, he joins Lupin in pursuit of riches acquired typically by theft. Traveling across the globe, Jigen has garnered fame as a gunman with a wildly capable speed and accuracy. Creation and conception According to Monkey Punch, Jigen was created as a New York raised American gangster based on actor James Coburn, especially his role in ''The Magnificent Seven''. When the series was adapted into animation, the role was portrayed by Kiyoshi Kobayashi, the voice actor responsible for dubbing many of Coburn's roles into Japanese. The character's name comes from Monkey Punch's love for the word "dimension," which translates to "jigen" in Japanese. Lupin The 3rd (film)
is a 2014 Japanese heist film directed by Ryuhei Kitamura based on the manga of the same name by Monkey Punch, starring an ensemble cast led by Shun Oguri, Jerry Yan, Tetsuji Tamayama, Gō Ayano, Meisa Kuroki and Tadanobu Asano. It is the second live-action film adaptation of the manga, following '' Lupin III: Strange Psychokinetic Strategy'' (1974). Strange Psychokinetic Strategy
is a 1974 Japanese action comedy film based on the manga of the same name by Monkey Punch. It was the first live action film adaptation of the manga, followed by '' Lupin the 3rd'' in 2014. Plot Arsene Lupin III steal the couple car at the parking lot and drive around Tokyo. He met Fujiko Mine, who was being escorted to prison after being accused of stealing things. So that night, Lupin helped her escape, but Fujiko ditched him and leave him after throwing a card that cuts the branches and landed on his head, knocking him unconscious. Lupin was arrested and interrogated by police inspector Heiji Zenigata VII, but was release latter after no evidence or witness during the jailbreak. Immediately after that, Lupin meets Daisuke Jigen, a professional marksman. Kunie Tanaka
was a Japanese actor. Tanaka first made a name for himself as the lecherous antagonist of the ''Wakadaishō'' series (1961–1981) of films. He is also well-known for his roles in Kinji Fukasaku's yakuza films, namely the '' Battles Without Honor and Humanity'' series (1973–1974), and for starring in the ''Kita no Kuni Kara'' (1981–2002) television series.
