Dagan Yivzori
Dagan Yivzori ( he, דגן יבזורי; born October 15, 1985) is an Israeli basketball player who last played for Ironi Nahariya of the Israeli Premier League. He was the 2014 Israeli Basketball Premier League Finals MVP. He also plays for the Israeli national team in the international level. Yivzori, standing at 1.93 (6 ft 4 in), is considered one of the best sharpshooters in the Israeli League. Professional career Early career Yivzori started his professional career playing for Liga Leumit teams, Maccabi Kiryat Bialik and Hapoel Afula B.C., without leaving his mark. Hapoel Yokneam/Megido In 2004, he signed for Liga Artzit (3rd tier) side Hapoel Yokneam/Megido, where he became one of the league's stars. In his second season with Yokneam/Megido, Dagan has achieved a promotion with the team, leading them with averages of 18.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists. The Israel men's national basketball team ( he, נבחרת ישראל בכדורסל) represents Israel in international basketball tournaments. They are administered by the Israeli Basketball Association. Israel is currently ranked 33rd in the FIBA World Rankings. Israel has qualified for the EuroBasket 30 times throughout their history. They have also made two appearances at the World Cup, and one at the Summer Olympics. Israel also participated at the Asian Games from 1966 to 1974. Liga Artzit ( he, ליגה ארצית. ''Artzit'') is the third tier level league of basketball competition in Israel. It is the league level that is below the second tier level Liga Leumit. Until the 1991-92 season it was the second tier level league of basketball competition in Israel. EuroBasket 2015
EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015. The top two teams ( and ) qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. The next five teams (, , , and the ) advanced to the World Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. and later qualified due to Serbia and Italy hosting two of the Olympic qualifying tournaments while also qualified as an invitee. Spain won their third title by defeating Lithuania 80–63 in the final. France won bronze on home soil defeating Serbia (81–68). EuroBasket 2015 Qualification
This article describes the qualification procedure for EuroBasket 2015. Qualification format In the first qualifying round, 13 teams which didn't qualify for EuroBasket 2013 have been divided into four groups. The winners of each group advance to the knockout stage, composed by two semifinals and one final series under a home-and-away format. The champion of the first qualifying round qualifies directly for EuroBasket 2015, while the rest of the teams join 14 EuroBasket 2013 teams which did not qualify directly for the 2015 edition in the second qualifying round. First round 13 teams played in the first qualifying round during the middle of 2013. Denmark returned to the competition for the first time since 2010, while Azerbaijan, Albania and Cyprus did not take part in this edition after playing in the qualifying round in 2012.
