Daan (, formerly transliterated as Ta-An Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. It is a terminus of short turn services on the . Station overview This station is a three-level, elevated station has two side platforms and two exits. It is located at the intersection of Fuxing South Rd. and Xinyi Rd. Five more exits have been constructed with the opening of Red Line. The station is a two-level, underground station with an island platform. Red Line trains from Beitou terminate here during non-rush hours. Construction The Red Line station is long and wide. Excavation depth is at . Taipei Metro
Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), branded as Metro Taipei, is a rapid transit system serving the areas of Taipei and New Taipei City, New Taipei in Taiwan, operated by the State-owned enterprise, government-owned Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, which also operates the Maokong Gondola. Taipei Metro was the first metro system ever built in Taiwan. The initial network was approved for construction in 1986 and work began two years later. Beitou Metro Station
The Taipei Metro Beitou station (formerly transliterated as Peitou Station until 2003) is a station on the Tamsui–Xinyi line and Xinbeitou branch line), located in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan. The location of station can be traced back the same name station of the now-defunct TRA Tamsui line. Station overview The two-level, elevated station structure with one island platform and two side platforms. The washrooms are inside the entrance area. There are several amenities around the station. This include Beitou Presbyterian Church and Beitou Market. Just north of the station, there are crossovers between the Tamsui–Xinyi line and the Xinbeitou branch line, and between the tracks of each individual line, in both directions. Wenhu Line
The Wenhu or Brown line (code BR) is a metro line in Taipei operated by Taipei Metro, named after the districts it connects: Wenshan and Neihu. It is an automated medium-capacity rubber-tyred metro line and is long, serving a total of 24 stations located in 7 districts in Taipei, of which 22 are elevated and 2 underground. As of April 2022, the line transports an average of approximately 140,000 passengers daily. The Wenshan section began revenue service on 28 March 1996, as the Muzha line. Daan Forest Park
Daan Forest Park () is a public park near the centre of the Daan District, Taipei, Da'an District of Taipei, Taiwan. The park occupies twenty-six hectares and is bordered on its north, south, east, and west by Xinyi Road (信義路), Heping E. Road (和平東路), Jianguo Road (Taipei), Jianguo S. Road (建國南路), and Xinsheng S. Road (幸生南路), respectively. The park is used by residents of Taipei as a green activity space and for various outdoor activities. The park was created in 1994 after the eviction of longtime squatters and the demolition of illegal buildings on municipal land, not by mayor Chen Shui-bian, as is often cited, but by his predecessor, Huang Ta-chou. The Association for Tourism Exchange Across the Taiwan Straits (ATETS; ) is a semi-official representative office of the People's Republic of China in Taiwan handling tourism-related affairs. Its counterpart body in Mainland China by the Republic of China is the Taiwan Strait Tourism Association. The CSTEA office is located in Ruentex Tower at Daan District, Taipei. The Taipei Hakka Culture Hall () is a cultural center in Da'an District, Taipei, Taiwan which acts as a center for cultural exchange between the Hakka community and Taipei residence. History The hall was established on 3 October 1998. Features The hall consists of lobby displaying traditional Hakka home. Other buildings usually host artistic and cultural exhibits, as well as stage traditional dancing and opera performances. The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT; ) is the ''de facto'' Embassy of the United States of America in Taiwan. The AIT institution is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the federal government of the United States in Taiwan with Congressional oversight. The AIT was officially created as a U.S. government-sponsored non-profit, private corporation established under the auspices of the U.S. government to serve its interests in Taiwan. Xinyi Anhe Metro Station
Taipei Metro Xinyi Anhe station is a station on the Red Line located beneath Xinyi Rd., Sec. 4 at the intersection of Xinyi Rd., Sec. 4 and Anhe Rd. in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan. The station was opened on 24 November 2013. History Originally, the station was to be named "Anhe Road Station". The construction of the station began in July 2005. However, the Department of Rapid Transit Systems felt that the name was too broad. Thus, on 22 July 2011, it was announced that the station would be renamed to Xinyi Anhe station to more accurately describe the station location. The station is long and meters in wide.
