"Da Rockwilder" is a hip hop song written and performed by American rappers Method Man & Redman. It was released on October 26, 1999 through Def Jam Recordings as the second single off of the duo's first collaborative studio album '' Blackout!''. Production was handled by Rockwilder. The single peaked at number 51 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, number 42 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, and number 14 on the Hot Rap Songs chart in the United States, and number 181 on the French SNEP Top 200 Singles chart. It also made it to the number 12 on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Singles Chart in the UK. Method Man & Redman (also referred to as Meth & Red, Red & Mef, John Blaze and Funk Doc or Funk Doctor Spock and Johnny Blaze) are an American hip hop duo, composed of East Coast rappers Method Man (of Wu-Tang Clan) and Redman (of Def Squad). They are signed to Def Jam Recordings both as solo artists and as a duo. While they had been collaborating since 1994, it was not until 1999 that they released a full-length collaborative effort, '' Blackout!''. The follow-up album, ''Blackout! 2'', was released in 2009. David Charles Meyers (born October 19, 1972) is an American music video, commercial and film director. Early life Born and raised in Berkeley, California, Dave Meyers developed his love for film while working for a local Landmark cinema at age 17. George Spivey (born June 21, 1968), known professionally as DJ Scratch, is an American hip hop DJ and producer from Brooklyn, New York. DJ Scratch is the 1988 New Music Seminar Battle For World Supremacy DJ champion, the 2010 Master of the Mix winner and the 2012, 2013 & 2014 Global Spin Awards' "Turntablist of the Year". 19 albums produced by DJ Scratch were certified Gold in United States, seven of them were certified as Platinum. A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. The groove usually starts near the periphery and ends near the center of the disc. At first, the discs were commonly made from shellac, with earlier records having a fine abrasive filler mixed in.
