D The Business
Donavin Rashad Hogan (born January 15, 1990), better known by his stage name D The Business (formerly known as Lil' D and Little D), is an American rapper, actor, entrepreneur, songwriter and real estate agent. D The Business gained fame as a young street rapper in the early 2000s at just 10 years old along with his cousin Romeo Miller (formerly Lil’ Romeo) after signing with No Limit Records, which was founded by his cousin, Master P. He was one of the only artist featured on Romeo's debut album ''Lil' Romeo'', which charted the US Billboard 200 at number six and went on to be certified gold, selling over 500,000 copies with in a month, which went on to be certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He was billed on early commercial releases as Lil' D or Little D before eventually changing his stage name to D The Business in 2012. Magnolia Projects
The Magnolia Projects, officially the C. J. Peete Public Housing Development, was one of the Housing Projects of New Orleans. As part of the ongoing redevelopment, the area has been renamed Harmony Oaks. The project was among the largest, housing approximately 2,100 people. It is also home to numerous hip-hop artists; it has been referred to as "Magnolia: Home of the Soulja." Located in the part of uptown New Orleans known as Central City, it was bounded by Louisiana Avenue, South Claiborne Avenue, La Salle Street and Washington Avenue. ''Soul Train'' is an American musical variety television show. It aired in syndication from October 2, 1971, to March 25, 2006. Across its 35-year history the show primarily featured performances by R&B, soul, and hip hop artists. The series was created by Don Cornelius, who also served as its first host and executive producer. Production was suspended following the 2005–2006 season, with a rerun package under the moniker ''The Best of Soul Train'' airing for two years subsequently. As a nod to ''Soul Train''s longevity, the show's opening sequence during later seasons contained a claim that it was the "longest-running first-run, nationally syndicated program in American television history", with over 1,100 episodes produced from the show's debut through the 2005–2006 season. ''Game Time'' is the second studio album by American rapper Lil' Romeo. It was released on December 17, 2002 on The New No Limit and Universal Records. The album peaked at number 33 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and had first week sales of 93,000 copies. Critical reception Dan LeRoy from AllMusic found the album "overlong and musically malnourished" with its track listing and overuse of lazy sampling but gave credit to Romeo's charm on songs like "True Love" and "2-Way", concluding that he should follow in the footsteps of Will Smith and go into acting instead. The ABCD Basketball Camp was a youth basketball camp founded by Sonny Vaccaro that was held from 1984 to 2006. The camp gathered the highest ranked high school players of the United States, and was considered one of the top events of high school basketball. ABCD stood for Academic Betterment and Career Development. History The ABCD Camp was founded in 1984 by Sonny Vaccaro and was sponsored by Nike.
