The DR Congo women's national basketball team represents the Democratic Republic of the Congo in international basketball competitions. It is controlled by the Basketball Federation of Democratic Republic of Congo. 2005 FIBA Africa Championship For Women
The 2005 FIBA Africa Championship for Women was the 17th FIBA Africa Championship for Women, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and the FIBA Africa thereof. The tournament was hosted by Nigeria from December 20 to 28, with the games played at the Indoor Sports Hall in Abuja. Nigeria defeated Senegal 64–57 in the final to win their first title with both teams securing a spot at the 2006 FIBA Women's World Cup. ''Manix'' was both the title and main character of a comic strip serial published in the British comics anthology ''Eagle''. The serial first appeared in issue 24 (dated September 4, 1982). Daring Club Motema Pembe, or simply DCMP for a short, is a Congolese football club based in Kinshasa. History Created in 1936 under the name Falcon Daring, by the Rev. Father Raphaël de la Kethulle de Ryhove who was a missionary of the Congregation of Scheutistes. Diósgyőri VTK is a Hungary, Hungarian women's basketball club playing in the Hungarian national championship for women's, Hungarian Championship. It was founded after World War II. In 1991, it separated from the Diósgyőri VTK football club and began to play as Diósgyőri KSK. Chabab Rif Al-Hoceima, also referred to as CRA, is a Moroccan football club based in Al Hoceima, a Riffian city in northern Morocco. The 2023 AfroBasket Women was the 28th edition of the tournament and held from 28 July to 5 August 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda. Nigeria won their fourth consecutive and sixth overall title after defeating Senegal in the final. Format The 12 teams were split into four groups of three teams. The 2019 AfroBasket Women was held from 10 to 18 August 2019 in Dakar, Senegal. It was also the first step for the qualification for FIBA Africa for the women's basketball tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
