DOD Electronics, or simply DOD, is a Cort Guitars company that makes guitar effects pedals, many of which are now discontinued. Additionally, the company has made active crossover gear. History DOD originally stood for David Oreste DiFrancesco, who founded the company in 1973 with business partner and musician John Johnson. Cort Guitars (Cor-Tek Corporation) is a South Korean guitar manufacturing company located in Seoul. The company is one of the largest guitar makers in the world, and produces instruments for many other companies. It also has factories in Indonesia and China. Products manufactured by Cort include electric, acoustic and classical guitars, basses, and ukuleles. History Cort was founded in 1960 as an importer of pianos by current CEO Young Park's father. Audio crossovers are a type of electronic filter circuitry that splits an audio signal into two or more frequency ranges, so that the signals can be sent to loudspeaker drivers that are designed to operate within different frequency ranges.
