DMAX is a former TV channel in the Middle East and North Africa. beIN Media Group and Discovery, Inc. announced in February 2016, that they would launch a version of DMAX in the MENA market. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. DTX (TV Channel)
DTX (previously known as Discovery Turbo Xtra) is a television channel focused on programming about cars owned by Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA. It is a CEEMEA version of Discovery Turbo. The channel was launched under the name Discovery Turbo Xtra to replace the European version of Discovery World, with the first launch in Poland on 17 September 2013. The channel roll-out in 2015 in Albania and in 2016 in Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Baltics, Russia, CIS, Ukraine, Turkey and MENA. Animal Planet Europe
The Pan-European Animal Planet is a feed of Animal Planet, which broadcasts to several countries in Europe, UK, Africa and the Middle East. The channel is broadcast in English, Czech, Hungarian and formerly Russian. The HD feed also carries a Turkish audio track. Turkey has its own SD feed. Discovery Family is an American cable television channel co-owned by Warner Bros. Discovery and Hasbro Entertainment. The channel was originally launched by Discovery Communications on October 7, 1996 as Discovery Kids, a spin-off of Discovery Channel which primarily featured science and nature-themed programming aimed towards a youth audience. In 2010, Discovery Kids was relaunched as The Hub (later Hub Network) as part of a joint venture with Hasbro led by veteran executive Margaret Loesch. Discovery Science is a Southeast Asia pay television channel (excluding Malaysia, formerly including Malaysia) owned by Discovery Asia-Pacific. The channel replaced Discovery Sci-Trek.
