DKay.com
DKay.com was an industrial band formed by Jürgen Engler in the late 1990s. The band was formed in 1997, after the break up of Die Krupps. The band released two albums and subsequently disbanded in 2002. Since the reformation of Die Krupps in 2005, the project remains inactive. History DKay.com was formed by Jürgen Engler after the initial split of Die Krupps in 1997. He recorded the album ''Decaydenz'' with a variety of guest musicians, including Julian Beeston (ex- Nitzer Ebb) on two tracks, as well as Adam Grossman (from Skrew), Chris Van Helsing, Birgitte Fischer and Doro Pesch. The album was released in 2000. A second album titled ''Deeper into the Heart of Dysfunction'' followed two years later. The band has had a diverse range of musical influences over time, including the percussive industrial ''Stahlwerksynfonie'' (1981) then to a more synth-pop styled ''Volle Kraft voraus!'' (1982) and ''Entering the Arena'' (1985), with the latter album featuring their first English-language material. The band later established itself as an industrial metal band, releasing four albums predominantly in this genre, from 1992 to 1997 with each labelled 1 to 4. Industrial music is a genre of music that draws on harsh, mechanical, transgressive or provocative sounds and themes. AllMusic defines industrial music as the "most abrasive and aggressive fusion of rock and electronic music" that was "initially a blend of avant-garde electronics experiments (tape music, musique concrète, white noise, synthesizers, sequencers, etc.) and punk provocation". Nitzer Ebb () are a British EBM group formed in 1982 by Essex school friends Vaughan "Bon" Harris (programming, synthesizers, drums, vocals), Douglas McCarthy (vocals), and David Gooday (drums). History Initial releases (1983–1987) The group released their demo ''Basic Pain Procedure'' in 1983, but it was two years until they met PWL producer Phil Harding, who produced their 1985 debut single "Isn't It Funny How Your Body Works?" and helped them set up their own label, Power Of Voice Communications. Skrew
Skrew is an American industrial metal band. Formed in 1990 and disbanded in 1998, the group announced its return in 2009. Biography Skrew was formed in 1990 in Austin, Texas, by Adam Grossman and Danny Lohner. The band emerged from the demise of crossover thrash band Angkor Wat, of which Grossman and Lohner were members. Skrew recruited Al Jourgensen of Ministry, to record and produce its 1991 debut album '' Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame''. The album fared well commercially (out-selling every debut on the Metal Blade catalog) and received high praise from critics. It was during this period that Lohner left the band initially auditioning for the Red Hot Chili Peppers before being hired by Nine Inch Nails. Gary Anthony James Webb (born 8 March 1958), known professionally as Gary Numan, is an English musician. He entered the music industry as frontman of the new wave band Tubeway Army.
