History 2013 In the Breeze's inaugural season the team played its home games at Anacostia High School in East DC. They went 4–12 in the regular season and did not qualify for the playoffs. The Breeze finished fifth in the East Division. 2014 The Breeze moved to the University of Maryland Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex for their second season after playing their 2014 home opener at George Mason High School in Falls Church, Virginia. The Tampa Bay Cannons (formerly the Jacksonville Cannons) were a professional ultimate team in the South Division of the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Cannons were active from 2015 to 2022. History Bill Kilgannon purchased American Ultimate Disc League franchise rights for Jacksonville, Florida in 2012; the team, called the Cannons, debuted in the 2015 season and made the playoffs in its inaugural season. The team drew from many former college during its inaugural season, including those from the University of Florida, Florida State University, and the University of Central Florida. After the team's 2017 season, ownership decided to relocate to Tampa, citing better community interest for games. It was later revealed that Kilgannon had sold the team to the AUDL, and that the league planned the move to Orlando. Atlanta Hustle
The Atlanta Hustle is a professional ultimate frisbee franchise based out of Atlanta, Georgia, United States. They compete as one of 25 teams in the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL), playing in the league's South Division. 2015 season The Hustle finished the season 10-4 and tied for second in the division with the Jacksonville Cannons, both behind the Raleigh Flyers. The Cannons possessed a head-to-head tie breaker with the Hustle and thereby advanced to play the Flyers in the first round of the divisional playoffs on July 25, 2015. Toronto Rush
The Toronto Rush is a semi-professional Ultimate (sport), ultimate franchise based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Rush joined the American Ultimate Disc League’s East division in the 2013 season – becoming the first Canadian AUDL team to join. They went undefeated that year, and continued their streak into the playoffs to take home the 2013 AUDL Championship in their introductory season. The Rush franchise has been the model of consistency. With five consecutive East Division titles, three appearances in League Championship Finals, and one AUDL title in 2013, fans have come to expect to seeing this team excel on and off the field. Raleigh Flyers (AUDL)
The Carolina Flyers, formerly the Raleigh Flyers, are a professional ultimate team from Durham, North Carolina playing in the South Division of the American Ultimate Disc League. The team was founded in 2015. From 2015 through 2018, the Flyers played most of their home games at Crusader Stadium on the campus of Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, with some home games at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. In 2019, the team has played home games at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, and other venues. After the 2020 AUDL season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team moved their home games to Durham County Stadium beginning in 2021. In 2021, the Flyers won the national title. The Montreal Royal is a professional ultimate franchise based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They are members of the Eastern Division of the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL). The team was the second Canadian franchise to join the AUDL, after the Toronto Rush. The Royal play their home games at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex in Montreal, Quebec. They played their inaugural game on April 19, 2014, where they hosted the Toronto Rush and lost by a score of 22-14.
