Dutch Footballer Of The Year
The title Dutch Footballer of the Year ( Dutch: ''Voetballer van het Jaar'') has been awarded in the Netherlands since 1984. The award is determined by a poll of Dutch professional footballers playing in the First (Eredivisie) and Second (Eerste Divisie) leagues. Until 1997, it was an annual award, afterwards the prize was rewarded at the end of the football season. In 2006, the award merged with the annual prize named Golden Boot (''Gouden Schoen''), awarded since 1982 by the Dutch daily ''De Telegraaf'' and the Dutch football magazine ''Voetbal International''. Footballer of the Year Dutch Football Talent of the Year The title Dutch Football Talent of the Year (''Nederlands Voetbal Talent van het Jaar'') has been awarded in the Netherlands since 1984 for footballers under 21. Dutch ( ) is a West Germanic languages, West Germanic language of the Indo-European language family, spoken by about 25 million people as a first language and 5 million as a second language and is the List of languages by total number of speakers, third most spoken Germanic language. Frank Rijkaard
Franklin Edmundo Rijkaard (; born 30 September 1962) is a Dutch former footballer and former manager who played as a defensive midfielder. Regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in footballing history, Rijkaard was described by British broadsheet ''The Daily Telegraph'' as having been "a stylish player of faultless pedigree". Rijkaard played for Ajax, Real Zaragoza and AC Milan. With Ajax, he won five Eredivisie titles and the 1994–1995 Champions League. With AC Milan, he won Serie A titles, as well as the 1988–89 and 1989–90 European Cup (Champions League) titles. He earned 73 caps for the Netherlands national team. SBV Vitesse Arnhem (''Stichting Betaald Voetbal Vitesse Arnhem, Eng: Professional Football Foundation Vitesse Arnhem''), widely known as Vitesse () or internationally known as Vitesse Arnhem, is a Dutch professional association football, football club located in the municipality of Arnhem. Edward Sturing
Edward Jeroen Sturing (born 13 June 1963) is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who was most recently the manager of Vitesse. Sturing played as a defender and earned three caps for the Netherlands national team. Career Sturing played for De Graafschap and Vitesse, with whom he won the Eerste Divisie championship in 1989. He was also voted best player of the Eredivisie in the 1989–90 season. After his playing career, Sturing worked at Vitesse as assistant coach and manager. From June 2009 until February 2010, he also served as manager of Volendam. He became assistant at Gençlerbirliği and Kayseri Erciyesspor from 2012 to 2014, before returning to Vitesse, where he was once again an assistant manager. Jan Wouters
Jan Jacobus Wouters (born 17 July 1960) is a Dutch professional football coach and former player. He played as a defensive midfielder and was Dutch Footballer of the Year in 1990. Career Wouters played for several clubs including PSV, Utrecht, Bayern Munich and Ajax. He was also a Netherlands international team member (70 caps, four goals) and was hugely influential in 1988 when the Netherlands won the European Football Championship. He was a coach of Scottish Premier League club Rangers under Dick Advocaat and then Alex McLeish. He left Rangers at the end of the 2005–06 season, along with McLeish and Andy Watson. Wouters is infamous to England supporters after elbowing Paul Gascoigne and fracturing his cheekbone during a World Cup qualifier in 1993 at Wembley Stadium. Gerald Vanenburg
Gerald Mervin Vanenburg (born 5 March 1964) is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who is currently serving as the assistant coach of the Indonesia national team and the head coach of the Indonesia under-23 national team. He amassed Eredivisie totals of 372 games and 112 goals for Ajax and PSV combined, winning fifteen major titles between the two clubs, including the 1988 European Cup with the latter. Ronald Koeman (; born 21 March 1963) is a Dutch professional Manager (association football), football manager and former Football player, player who is the manager of the Netherlands national football team, Netherlands national team.
