Dugesiidae is a family of freshwater planarians distributed worldwide (except Antarctica). The type genus is ''Dugesia'' Girard, 1850.Ball, I. A planarian is one of the many flatworms of the traditional class (biology), class Turbellaria. It usually describes free-living flatworms of the order Tricladida (triclads), although this common name is also used for a wide number of free-living platyhelminthes. Planaria are common to many parts of the world, living in both saltwater and Fresh water, freshwater ponds and rivers. These common flatworms are found in freshwater habitats of Africa, Eurasia, and Australia. ''Dugesia'' is best known to non-specialists because of its regeneration capacities. Edgbaston Reserve
Edgbaston Reserve, formerly Edgbaston Station, is a nature reserve in central Queensland, Australia, north-east of Longreach. It lies in the upper catchment of Pelican Creek, which flows into the Thomson River and, ultimately, into Lake Eyre. It lies within the Great Artesian Basin and is notable for its many artesian springs and their plants and animals. It is owned and managed by Bush Heritage Australia (BHA), by which it was purchased in 2008. The reserve is within the Bush Heritage anchor region, the Queensland Uplands and Brigalow Belt. Hervey Range
The Hervey Range is a large mountain range about north of Townsville, in Queensland, Australia. It is one of the highest peaks in the Townsville region and is also the location of the Herveys Range Heritage Tea Rooms. The highest point of the range is Mount Cataract, which is high. Thorntons Gap is a historic feature on the range, where a walking track that provided access to goldfields crossed the range. Apart from the tea house, there are few houses, no estates and no shops around the Hervey Range because it is mostly rural. There are other attractions on the range, such as the former Greenvale Rail Trail, which runs up the range and into a tunnel in the mountain. The Greenvale railway line was opened from Cobarra, north of Townsville, to the nickel mine at Greenvale in 1974, and closed in 1993 with the closure of the mine.
