''Due sul pianerottolo'' is a 1976 Italian comedy film written and directed by Mario Amendola. It is based on a successful comedy play with the same name starred by the same cast. Mario Amendola
Mario Natalino Concetto Amendola (8 December 1910 – 22 December 1993) was an Italian screenwriter, film director and dramatist. Biography Amendola was born in Recco, which is located in Genova to parents from Rome. He began his career on stage in 1931 as a writer for avanspettacolo shows. During that time, he wrote dialogue for Erminio Macario, Totò and more. He ended this profession and moved to cinema in 1949. He wrote for 153 films between 1941 and 1987. He also directed 37 films between 1949 and 1975. Amendola collaborated with Bruno Corbucci on conceiving the Nico Giraldi film series starring Tomas Milian. Amendola died in 1993 from complications from diabetes. Mario Carotenuto
Mario Carotenuto (30 June 1916 – 14 April 1995) was an Italian actor of film and theatre. Biography Carotenuto, the son of a silent film actor and younger brother of the actor Memmo Carotenuto, took various humble jobs for many years before starting his own artistic career in 1946, first as a radio actor and then joining small avanspettacolo companies. He made his film debut in 1950, in ''Abbiamo vinto'', going on to perform as leading or supporting actor in dozens of films, often comedies. He was also very active on stage and television. He died in Rome in 1995. Renzo Marignano (26 March 1923 - 25 November 1987), sometimes credited as Renzo Marignani, was an Italian actor and film director. Born in Genoa, after World War II Marignano was one of the founders of ''Cimofilm'', a production company specialized in documentaries, some of which he also directed. In 1958 he moved to Rome where he started a career as character actor, appearing in a large number of films. He also was assistant director for several films by Pietro Germi and Mario Monicelli. Gianni Agus (17 August 1917 – 4 March 1994) was an Italian actor with a career in film, television, and theatre since 1938. He appeared in more than 60 films between 1938 and 1991.
