DUO (originally Hervantakeskus) is a shopping center located in Hervanta, Tampere, Finland. Its original part was designed by the architects Raili and Reima Pietilä, and was completed in the autumn of 1979. The duo has three large grocery stores: Lidl, S-market and K-Supermarket. In addition, there are Alko and Tokmanni as well as restaurants, specialty shops and other commercial services. There is an underground parking garage on the ground floor. There is a total of 11,700 square meters of retail space for rent in the shopping center. The shopping center is part of the central axis of Hervanta designed by Pietilä, which is a nationally significant entity of public buildings. It was once intended to improve Hervanta's concrete-like appearance. Duo Airways was an airline based in the United Kingdom. Its main bases were Birmingham Airport and Edinburgh Airport. It ceased operations in May 2004. History The airline was formed by a management buyout of the former Maersk UK in June 2003. The airline relaunched services in November 2003 but a shortage of funds led to it suspending flights and entering administration on 1 May 2004. The airline sought to provide a high quality of service at moderate prices, but faced a marketing challenge in explaining that it was not a low cost, no-frills carrier, and load factors took longer than expected to reach budgeted levels. ''Pas de deux'' (released as ''Duo'' in the United States) is a 1968 short dance film by Norman McLaren, produced by the National Film Board of Canada. The film was photographed on high contrast stock, with optical, step-and-repeat printing, for a sensuous and almost stroboscopic appearance. It shows a ballerina (Margaret Mercier) dancing by herself (or rather, with images of herself), before being joined by a male dancer (Vincent Warren), to perform the ''pas de deux'' of the title, as choreographed by Ludmilla Chiriaeff.
