"Drown On the River" is a song recorded by Barry Gibb, released as a single in August 2007 weeks after he released his previous single "Underworld". It was Gibb's first country single. It was included on the soundtrack of the film ''Deal'' on 29 April 2008, along with other country songs. It was also included on the multiple-artist compilation album ''How Many Sleeps?'' Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb (born 1 September 1946) is a British musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. He rose to worldwide fame as a member of the Bee Gees, one of the most commercially successful groups in the history of popular music. ''Deal'' is a 2008 poker drama film starring Burt Reynolds, Bret Harrison and Shannon Elizabeth. It follows the former poker player tutoring a younger player (Harrison). The film's climax is a fictional World Poker Tour championship. World Poker Tour commentators, Mike Sexton, Vince Van Patten and Courtney Friel played themselves. Stephen Thadeus Crompton Gibb (born 1 December 1973) is a British-American guitarist. He has been a member of numerous hard rock and metal bands including 58, Black Label Society, Crowbar, Kingdom of Sorrow, The Underbellys, SkilletHead, and Saigon Kick. He is the son of Barry Gibb and is currently playing guitar as part of his father's band. Early life Gibb was born in London, England, and raised in Miami, Florida, the first-born son of Barry Gibb and Linda Gibb. A maraca (), sometimes called shaker or chac-chac, is a rattle which appears in many genres of Caribbean and Latin music. It is shaken by a handle and usually played as part of a pair.
