Dovzhansky (border Checkpoint)
Dovzhansky ( uk, Довжанський) is a land border crossing between Ukraine and Russia on the Ukrainian side, in the town of Dovzhansky, Sverdlovsk city municipality, Luhansk Oblast. The crossing is situated on autoroute (). Across the border on the Russian side is the city of Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Oblast. The outskirts of Novoshakhtinsk is 10 km from the border crossing and the city center is 20 km. The type of crossing is automobile, status - international. The types of transportation for automobile crossings are passenger and freight. Trains traveling between Sverdlovsk and Novoshakhtinsk pass through the railway border crossing at Dovzhansky, too. The port of entry, "Dolzhanskiy", is part of the Dovzhansky customs post of Luhansk customs. Highway M03 (Ukraine)
Highway M03 is a Ukrainian international highway ( M-highway) connecting Kyiv with Dovzhansky on the border with Russia, where it continues into Russia as the A270. It is part of European route E40 from Kyiv to Debaltseve at which it is part of European route E50 to the border with Russia. At , the M03 is the longest international state highway in Ukraine. In Soviet times the M03 was part of the M19. Today, the highway stretches through five oblasts and ends at the border checkpoint at Dovzhansky which is part of Sverdlovsk Raion (Luhansk Oblast). The route connects Kyiv and Kharkiv with the industrial region of Donbass. Part of the M03 between Kyiv and Boryspil was reconstructed into an automagistral to handle higher traffic between Kyiv and the Boryspil International Airport. Valery Dmitrievitch Bolotov ( rus, Вале́рий Дми́триевич Бо́лотов, p=vɐˈlʲerʲɪj ˈdmʲitrʲɪjɪvʲɪdʑ ˈbolətəf; uk, Вале́рій Дми́трович Бо́лотов; 13 February 1970 – 27 January 2017) was a Ukrainian leader known for his involvement in the Donbas War in eastern Ukraine, and as the leader of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic.
