Dover High School (Arkansas)
Dover High School is a comprehensive public secondary school located in rural, distant community of Dover, Arkansas, United States. The school educates more than 350 students annually in grades nine through twelve. Dover is one of five public high schools in Pope County and is the sole high school administered by the Dover School District. The first graduating class of six students, all female, completed studies in the spring of 1923. Academics The assumed course of study for students is to complete the Smart Core curriculum developed by the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), which requires students complete at least 22 units for graduation. Course offerings include regular and Advanced Placement classes and exams with opportunities for college credit via AP exam. The school is accredited by the ADE. Dover High School (Delaware)
Dover High School is a high school located in Dover, Delaware. It is a part of the Capital School District. Communities served include the majority of Dover, as well as Cheswold, Hartly, Little Creek, and about half of Leipsic. Dover High School's principal is Courtney Voshell. Special programs Dover High School offers a program for students to become certified nursing assistantss. Since 2006, members of Dover High's Japanese Club have participated in a cultural exchange program with its sister school located in Kakuda, Japan. Referendum A 2010 Capital School District referendum on funding for a new Dover High School and renovation of other district schools passed on March 31. Construction of the new school began in the spring of 2011, and was completed in the fall of 2014. Dover Senior High School, known colloquially as Dover High School (DHS), or Dover High School and Career Technical Center (DHS and CTC), serves the city of Dover and the towns of Barrington and Nottingham, New Hampshire. It serves roughly 1,300 students with general education and vocational education programs as part of the Dover School District. Linked by a road to Dover Middle School, the campus borders the Bellamy River. An alternative school is located across the road from the school, whose students are typically allowed to attend classes at both schools. History The original location of Dover High School in 1851 was on Chestnut Street and served students north of the Cocheco River until 1869, when the Dover school system was consolidated.
