The Uniques were an American rock band based in Louisiana, with Joe Stampley at the helm. Members included brother Bobby Stampley of Springhill, bass; Ray Mills of nearby Sarepta, lead guitar; Mike Love of Magnolia, Arkansas, drums; Jim Woodfield of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, guitar, and Joe Stampley, keyboard and lead vocalist. The members met while attending Southern State College (now Southern Arkansas University) in Magnolia, Arkansas and formed the band. They were active from 1965 to 1970, recording most of their material at Robin Hood Studios in Tyler, Texas. They released their material on Paula Records of Shreveport, Louisiana. ''God in Three Persons'' is a rock opera/concept album by American art rock group The Residents, released in 1988. It is about a man—arbitrarily named 'Mr. X'—who befriends two conjoined twins. The songs are all sung in a rhythmic spoken word fashion, similar to talking blues. The entire lyrical content of the album is written in trochaic octameter, a rare poetic meter most famously used in Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Raven". The Highliners is a British rock and roll / psychobilly band known for the hit singles “Henry The Wasp” and “The Benny Hill Boogie”, antics include dressing in pink doctor martens boots, black capes and driving a pink van with a skeleton surfing on the roof. The Basement Wall was an American garage rock band from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who were active in the 1960s. The group spent much of their career touring in Texas, and eventually became among the most recognized live acts in the southern regional rock scene.
