Shaukat Hussain Rizvi
Syed Shaukat Hussain Rizvi (1914 – 1999) was a Pakistani actor, film producer and director. He is widely considered as a pioneer of the Pakistani film industry. Early life and career Shaukat Hussain Rizvi was born in the city of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh in 1914. He began his career as an assistant projectionist in Calcutta in the early 1930s. Then he was given a job in the editing department of ''Madan Theatres''. By 1942, Rizvi was promoted to a film director and was assigned to direct a film named ''Khandan'' starring Pran and Noor Jehan in the lead roles. The script of this film was written by Imtiaz Ali Taj. After the huge success of this film, Shaukat Hussain Rizvi later married Noor Jehan in 1944. Their marriage produced three children: Akbar Hussain Rizvi, Asghar Hussain Rizvi and a daughter Zil-e-Huma. Agha (actor)
Agha (21 March 1914 – 30 April 1992) was an Indian actor of Bollywood films. He was known for comic roles and modeled himself on Bob Hope's style of acting. He appeared in over 300 Hindi films in his career between 1935 and 1986. His son, Jalal Agha, also became an actor, mostly known for the song ''Mehbooba Mehbooba'' in ''Sholay'' (1975). Early life Agha Beg was born on 21 March 1914 at Fatima Nagar, Pune, British India. His father was originally from Iran and had settled in Pune but had to leave Pune for Bombay in search of employment Agha confessed that he went to school for just three days, "that was as long as I could stand it". Motilal Rajvansh (4 December 1910 – 17 June 1965) was an Indian actor and the winner of Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for ''Devdas (1955 film), Devdas'' (1955) and ''Parakh (1960 film), Parakh'' (1960). He is credited with being among Hindi cinema's first natural actors. He also directed the film ''Chhoti Chhoti Baten'' (1965), but died before its release. Sajjad Hussain (composer)
Sajjad Hussain (15 June 1917 – 21 July 1995) was an Indian film score composer. He was also an accomplished mandolinist, playing the mandolin as a "Top Grade" player for the Indian film industry in Mumbai for more than five decades, reputed to have played more than 22,000 songs, including title-songs and background music. Besides the music for movies, he was known to play Indian classical music (Hindustani), as well as Arabic music and Sufi music. Kanhaiyalal (1910 14 August 1982) was an Indian actor who acted in 105 films in his career, primarily in Hindi films produced in Bollywood, the Mumbai-based film industry. Early life Kanhaiyalal was born in 1910 in Varanasi. His father Pandit Bhairodutt Choube, popularly known as Choubeji, was the proprietor of the Sanatan Dharm Natak Samaj in Varanasi. With his father not in agreement with him taking up any form of stage work, he eventually wore out his father's opposition and did odd jobs in the troupe. At 16, he started writing and then moved on to small roles. When his father died, the brothers tried for some time to run the drama company. Proving to be unsuccessful, they downed shutters and Kanhaiyalal decided to seek a film career in Bombay.
