Doomed (Bring Me The Horizon Song)
"Doomed" is a song by British rock band Bring Me the Horizon. Produced by keyboardist Jordan Fish and vocalist Oliver Sykes, it was featured as the opening track on the band's 2015 fifth studio album '' That's the Spirit''. Although it was not released as a single, the song reached number 87 on the UK Singles Chart and number four on the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart. Composition and lyrics "Doomed" was the first song written for ''That's the Spirit'', although it was the last to be completed. Speaking to Loudwire, vocalist Oliver Sykes stated that he found it difficult to write the vocals for the track due to its slow pace and "stoner rock vibe", which he claimed made it "the most different song" the band had ever written up to that point. The main hook, "I think we're doomed", is sung in soft falsetto to produce a feeling of contrast with the negative tone of the lyric. This juxtaposition is also reflected in the differing styles of the song's sections, with the verses being "r ...

It is the ninth track on the album. The song was written and produced by Sumney alongside Matthew Otto, a former member of the Canadian music group Majical Cloudz. Background and composition In an interview with Jon Pareles of ''The New York Times'', Sumney called "Doomed" the "thesis" of ''Aromanticism'' in explaining why he chose the song as the album's lead single. "Doomed" is an existential reflection on mortality and love in relation to a lack of love, or aromanticism. In the chorus, Sumney ask himself: "Am I vital / If my heart is idle? / Am I doomed?" With the lyrics "If lovelessness is godlessness / Will you cast me to the wayside?", Jason King of ''Pitchfork'' described it as "foreclosing the possibility of finding lasting intimacy and love with a partner." The track is musically minimalist, ...

Making Of Doom
''Doom'', a first-person shooter game by id Software, was released in December 1993 and is considered one of the most significant and influential titles in video game history. Development began in November 1992, with programmers John Carmack and John Romero, artists Adrian Carmack and Kevin Cloud, and designer Tom Hall. Late in development, Hall was replaced by Sandy Petersen and programmer Dave Taylor joined. The music and sound effects were created by Bobby Prince. The ''Doom'' concept was proposed in late 1992, after the release of ''Wolfenstein 3D'' and its sequel ''Spear of Destiny''. John Carmack was working on an improved 3D game engine from those games, and the team wanted to have their next game take advantage of his designs. Several ideas were proposed, including a new game in their ''Commander Keen'' series, but John proposed a game about using technology to fight demons inspired by the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' campaigns the team played. The initial months of development ...

It is the band's first single since 2013's "By and Down" for their greatest hits album ''Three Sixty'', and was the lead single for their fourth studio album, ''Eat the Elephant''. It peaked at number 16 on the ''Billboard'' US Mainstream Rock Songs chart in November 2017. Background The song was first teased on October 13, 2017, through a short, fifteen second soundless video posted to the band's social media, saying nothing other than "A Perfect Circle - The Doomed". On Monday, October 16, the band revealed it to be a song, releasing it as a single. The song is their first in four years, since "By and Down" in 2013, from their greatest hits album ''Three Sixty''. The song was released just prior to the ...
