Donia Nachshen
Donia Esther Nachshen (22 January 1903 – 1987) was a Ukrainian-born British book illustrator and poster artist who is now best known for the posters she produced for the British government during World War Two. Biography Nachshen was born in the city of Zhitomir, which was then part of Russia and is now in the Ukraine. Nachshen was born into a Jewish family and after an anti-Jewish pogrom in the city in 1905, the family fled Zhitomir and eventually settled in London. Nachshen did well at school in London and enrolled in the Slade School of Art. By the 1920s she had established herself as a successful book designer. She illustrated translations of works by Arthur Schnitzler and the Nobel Prize winner Anatole France in a style based on Russian folk art and art deco elements. Nachshen illustrated a version of the Jewish text the ''Haggadah'' in 1934 and also illustrated editions of works by Oscar Wilde and Samuel Butler. Donia Samir Youssef Ghanem ( ar, دنيا سمير يوسف غانم; born 1 January 1985) is an Egyptian actress and singer. She is the daughter of actor Samir Ghanem and actress Dalal Abdel Aziz; and sister of Amy (Amal). Donia graduated from MSA University and began her artistic life in 2001 when she was 16. Pier Gerlofs Donia ( 1480 – 28 October 1520) was a Frisian rebel leader and pirate. He is best known by his West Frisian nickname ''Grutte Pier'' ("Big Pier"; in the pre-1980 West Frisian spelling written as ''Greate Pier''), or by the Dutch translation ''Grote Pier'' which referred to his legendary size and strength. His life is mostly shrouded in legend. Haring Harinxma
Haring Harinxma (1323–1404) was a powerful Frisian chieftain and Schieringer who lived during the 13th and early 14th centuries. Haring also used the surname Donia, and is considered the patriarch of this well known Frisian family. Another title used by Haring was ''thoe Heeg'' meaning 'of Heeg', where he was born and lived. ''Clianthus'', commonly known as kakabeak (''kōwhai ngutukākā'' in Māori), is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family Fabaceae, comprising two species of shrubs native to New Zealand. They have striking clusters of red flowers which resemble the beak of the kaka, a New Zealand parrot. The plants are also known as parrot's beak, parrot's bill and lobster claw – all references to the distinctive flowers.
