"Don't Wanna Lose You Again" (mis-spelt on the cover art as "Don't Wanna Loose You Again") is a song by British-Norwegian boy band A1, released as the second single from their fourth studio album, '' Waiting for Daylight'' (2010). Background Following the success of ''Take You Home'', A1 announced they were writing a song for entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, to represent Norway. As Norway were the holders of the contest that year, the band had to go through a tough audition process, competing against another twenty artists. The group appeared in the third semi-final, beating public favourite Mira Craig to win a place in the final. In the final, the band placed within the top four acts to go through to the "Gold Final", in which the final vote was left to the judging panel and the home television audience. A1 (band)
A1 (stylised as a1) is a British-Norwegian boy group formed in 1998. The original line-up consisted of Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read and Ben Adams. Ingebrigtsen is originally from Oslo, Norway, while the other members originate from London. Their debut single, "Be the First to Believe", entered the UK Singles Chart at number six in mid-1999. They achieved chart success in the UK and other parts of the world in the late 1990s and early 2000s, particularly Southeast Asia. In the UK, they scored two number ones and six other top 10 hits, seven of which were written by the band. Adding to this, they also won a BRIT Award for "British Breakthrough Act" in 2001. They were managed by band manager Tim Byrne, who also formed Steps. Marazzi left the band in 2002, citing personal reasons. Didrik Solli-Tangen (born 11 June 1987) is a Norwegian people, Norwegian singer who represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "My Heart Is Yours". Biography Solli-Tangen was born in Porsgrunn. From his early years he was interested in music, and at 15 years old he joined a band, first as the drummer, and later as lead singer, performing in front of classmates and family, and joined the local “high school musical”. By the time he reached upper-secondary school his father had him receive voice coaching from Anders Vangen. Though at the beginning he refused to try singing in an operatic style, considering it old fashioned, he began slowly to accept the idea. Norway participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "My Heart Is Yours" written by Hanne Sørvaag and Fredrik Kempe. The song was performed by Didrik Solli-Tangen. In addition to participating in the contest, the Norwegian broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest after winning the competition in 2009 with the song "Fairytale" performed by Alexander Rybak. Mira Scherdin Craig (born 31 July 1982) is a Norwegian R&B artist. Early life Craig's father is Ronaldo Craig an African American from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. ''Waiting for Daylight'' is the fourth studio album to be released by British–Norwegian boy band, A1. The album was released on 11 October 2010, and was the band's first release of new material for more than eight years. It is also the first album to be released since the departure of Paul Marazzi from the band. It was originally released in Norway only; but was released on iTunes in 2015 for the UK and the rest of the world. The album peaked at number five on the Norwegian Albums Chart. Background In November 2008, the remaining members of the band formed a MySpace account to keep fans updated of their current situation.
