Don't Leave (Faithless Song)
"Don't Leave" is a song by English band Faithless, co-written by Jamie Catto, Rollo, and Sister Bliss and produced by the latter two. Catto provides the lead vocals on the song while Pauline Taylor and Rollo's sister Dido perform several backing vocals. A downtempo soul ballad, the track was included on Faithless's debut album, '' Reverence'' (1996), and was released as its third single in March 1996, reaching number 34 on the UK Singles Chart. In 1997, "Don't Leave" was included on the soundtrack of the 1997 romantic black comedy film ''A Life Less Ordinary''. The song was re-released in a slightly remixed form to coincide with this appearance and reached a new peak of number 21 in the UK while also charting in Australia, the Netherlands, and New Zealand. ''Reverence'' is the debut album by Faithless, released in April 1996 and then reissued in October. The album contains several singles that have subsequently become Faithless classics, such as " Don't Leave", "Salva Mea", and "Insomnia". The album reached number 26 on the UK Albums Chart. After training at Abbey Road Studios, he became an engineer at EMI's KPM studios in Denmark Street London. James Masterton (born 2 September 1973) is a music writer and columnist, his work focusing on the UK Singles Chart having been an online fixture on various sites since the 1990s. Masterton is also a producer for talkSPORT, and has worked on air as a presenter at the Bradford independent local radio station the Pulse. Music writing Masterton began posting his weekly comments about the latest singles chart on Usenet in 1992, while a student at Lancaster University, whence he graduated in 1994. In 1995 he became an important element of BT's Dotmusic website, an online hub for the UK music scene and one of the few sites that posted the entire UK top 75 every week.
