SoundGirl
SoundGirl were a British girl group that consisted of Izzy Bizu, Izzy Beardshaw, Olivia Redmond, and Little Nikki, Nicole Shortland. Beardshaw and Shortland were friends and school classmates in London that sang together before another girl from their neighbourhood, Redmond, joined them to form SoundGirl. A management company, Angelic Union, held auditions for a girl band project in a dance studio. The three girls went, wrote a song in ten minutes, and sang it for Angelic Union, who reportedly signed them on the spot. Their debut single, "I'm the Fool", featured UK rapper Twizzle. They opened for Justin Bieber, The Wanted, Scouting for Girls and Pixie Lott on tour. The band split up in April 2012 after only one charting single, "Don't Know Why", which peaked at number 45 in the UK Singles Chart. Reggae fusion is a genre of reggae that mixes reggae and/or dancehall with other genres, such as pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, jazz, funk, soul, disco, electronic and latin. Origin Although artists have been mixing reggae with other genres from as early as the early 1970s, no official term had been used to describe this practice. Artists such as UB40 were described using terms that joined the various genres they performed (e.g. "reggae funk", "reggae pop", "reggae-disco"). It was not until the late 1990s when the term was coined. Recorded for the film '' Soup for One'' in 1982, the film was a commercial flop but the soundtrack album was a success. Natasha Thomas (born 27 September 1986) is a Danish singer and songwriter. Career In 2003, at the age of 16, Thomas released her debut single "Why (Does Your Love Hurt So Much)", which reached number 40 on the German chart. "Save Your Kisses For Me" was released at the beginning of June 2004, meeting great success, while her second single "It's Over Now" reached number 12 on the charts. The mid-tempo love song, which features the Tobagonian reggae artist Sugar Daddy, also made it into the top 20 of the airplay charts.
