"Don't Go Breaking My Heart" is a song recorded by Swedish band Sonic Dream Collective, released in 1995 by Remixed Records and Epic as the second single from the band's debut album, ''Gravity'' (1995). Becoming a hit in clubs, the song reached number five on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Breakouts Club Play Top 5 list in 1997. Sonic Dream Collective were a Sweden, Swedish pop band from the city of Uppsala. Reggae fusion is a genre of reggae that mixes reggae and/or dancehall with other genres, such as pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, jazz, funk, soul, disco, electronic and latin. Toasting (rap in other parts of the Anglo Caribbean), or deejaying is the act of talking or chanting, usually in a monotone melody, over a rhythm or beat by a reggae deejay. It can either be improvised or pre-written. Toasting developed in the United States and carried its form to the music of Jamaica, such as ska, reggae, dancehall, and dub. It also exists in grime music and is traditionally in hip hop. Toasting is also often used in soca and bouyon music. The African American oral tradition of toasting, a mix of talking and chanting, influenced the development of MCing in US hip hop music and in Jamaican toasting. Solid Base
Solid Base is a Swedish-Norwegian Eurodance group. The lead singer in the group was Isabelle Heitmann, who was born in Oslo, Norway in 1972. She had a passion for singing since her childhood, and at the age of 10 she moved to Gothenburg, Sweden. A few years after she had moved to Stockholm, she started to sing in various talent competitions. One day she got a phone call from producer Pat Reiniz asking her to sing for him. She ended up singing for Cool James and Black Teacher on their album. At work, she met a man named Niclas Lindberg who recommended her for the Solid Base project.
