"Don't Call Me White" is a 7" single by NOFX featuring two songs from '' Punk in Drublic'' (1994). The record was limited to 1,500 copies on white vinyl. It is also the name of a song by NOFX. The band sometimes changes the word white to ' (the German word for "shit") during their live shows. Vocalist/bassist Fat Mike, guitarist Eric Melvin and drummer Erik Sandin are original founding and longest-serving members of the band, who have appeared on every release of the band, although Sandin departed briefly in 1985, only to rejoin the following year. ''BYO Split Series Volume III'' is a split album featuring the American punk rock bands Rancid and NOFX. It was released on March 5, 2002 through BYO Records' as the third entry in their ''BYO Split Series The ''BYO Split Series'' is a series of albums put out by BYO Records. Each album is a split album which features two bands, with each band doing a cover of the other bands music on the album. The series started in 1999, and so far contains 5 rele ...''. The album contains six songs by each band, with each band's songs being covers of songs originally performed by the other band. Two versions of this CD were released. Rancid (band)
Rancid is an American punk rock band formed in Berkeley, California in 1991. Founded by Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman, former members of the band Operation Ivy (band), Operation Ivy, Rancid is often credited as being among the wave of bands that revived mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States during the mid-1990s. Over their -year career, Rancid retained much of its original fan-base, most of which was connected to its underground musical roots. Rancid has had two lineup changes since its inception, with Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman being continuous members. Their current lineup consists of Armstrong on guitar and vocals, Freeman on Bass guitar, bass and vocals, Lars Frederiksen on guitar and vocals, and Branden Steineckert on Drum kit, drums. In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song.
