A remastered edition featuring a bonus track was reissued in 2009 through Warner Music Japan. ''Beast from the East'' is a live album recorded by the American heavy metal band Dokken in Japan in April 1988, during tour in support of their album '' Back for the Attack''. It was released on November 16, 1988. The album features live versions of the band's most popular songs from previous four studio albums and also includes a new studio track entitled "Walk Away". The song was accompanied with a music video, which featured members of the band performing atop the Santa Monica Mountains overlooking Topanga Canyon and the Pacific Ocean. The album earned the band their only Grammy Award nomination for the Best Metal Performance in 1990, losing to Metallica's " One". ''Broken Bones'' is the eleventh studio album by the American heavy metal band Dokken. It was released in Europe on 21 September 2012 and in the US on September 25, 2012. It features session drummer Jimmy DeGrasso as Mick Brown couldn't record due to scheduling conflicts, which makes ''Broken Bones'' the first Dokken album without him and also their only album to feature bassist Sean McNabb. Aside from the standard edition CD, a special edition was released in Europe with a thirty-minute DVD feature of the making of the album. ''Broken Bones'' sold around 2,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release and landed at position No. 173 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. It was originally scheduled for release on October 24, 2007, in Japan and on October 29 worldwide, but was postponed until 2008. The album was eventually released in the UK on April 8, 2008 and in the US on May 13. The album entered the Billboard Top 200 at No. 133, the band's best chart performance since 2004. Sanctuary Records Group Limited was a record label based in the United Kingdom and is as of 2013 a subsidiary of BMG Rights Management solely for reissues. Until June 2007, it was the largest independent record label in the UK and the largest music management company in the world. ''Long Way Home'' is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Dokken, released in the spring of 2002. It is the only Dokken album which features Europe guitarist John Norum and the first featuring bassist Barry Sparks. One of the songs on the album, "Heart Full of Soul", is a cover version of the 1965 single by the English rock band The Yardbirds. The song was written by Graham Gouldman of the band 10cc. CMC International
CMC International was an American independent record label founded by Bill Cain and Tom Lipsky in 1991, focused mainly on classic rock, and classic heavy metal. The label was the haven of many hard rock, arena rock, thrash metal, glam metal, and AOR artists in the period when all the majors were investing all their financial efforts on grunge and alternative rock acts. In 1995 CMC started a partnership with BMG Entertainment, which in 1999 owned the majority of the company, with founder Tom Lipsky holding a minority stake. CMC International became a division of Sanctuary Records Group in 2000, with Lipsky becoming president of Sanctuary Records North America.
