Doctor Who (2022 Specials)
The 2022 specials of the British science fiction television programme ''Doctor Who'' are three additional episodes that follow the programme's thirteenth series, and were first announced in July 2021. The first special aired on 1 January 2022, with the additional specials airing on 17 April and 23 October. They the final episodes to feature Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor and Chris Chibnall as showrunner. The specials also star Mandip Gill and John Bishop as the Doctor's travelling companions, Yasmin Khan and Dan Lewis, respectively. The three specials were directed by Annetta Laufer, Haolu Wang and Jamie Magnus Stone respectively. Chibnall wrote all three specials, co-writing the second with Ella Road, a new contributor to the programme. Jodie Whittaker
Jodie Whittaker (born 17 June 1982) is an English actress who is best known for portraying the thirteenth incarnation of the Doctor in ''Doctor Who'' (2017–2022) and as Beth Latimer in ''Broadchurch'' (2013–2017). She came to prominence in her 2006 feature film debut ''Venus'', for which she received British Independent Film Award and Satellite Award nominations. She was later praised for her roles in the cult science fiction film ''Attack the Block'' (2011) and the '' Black Mirror'' episode " The Entire History of You" (2011). Jamie Magnus Stone
Jamie Magnus Stone (born 15 December 1985) is a Scottish film director and animator, who studied at the National Film and Television School. He is the son of Sally Magnusson and grandson of Magnus Magnusson and Mamie Baird. Career Stone studied film and television at the Edinburgh College of Art where he made his first films; ''Flights'', about an old man and his flight of stairs, and the Scottish BAFTA nominated ''Fritz'' about a German Spy who lives under a boy's bed. Whilst directing fiction films, he also developed his skills in sand animation and won the MacLaren Award at the Edinburgh Film Festival and Best Animation at BAFTA Scotland in 2008 for his series of Three Minute Wonders, ''The World According To'', produced by Anders Jedenfors. "The Power of the Doctor" is the third and final of the 2022 specials of the British science fiction television programme ''Doctor Who'', and was broadcast on BBC One on 23 October 2022. The episode was ordered for the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the launch of the BBC, airing five days after. It was written by Chris Chibnall, and directed by Jamie Magnus Stone. Silurian (Doctor Who)
The Silurians are a race of reptilian humanoids in the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. The species first appeared in ''Doctor Who'' in the 1970 serial '' Doctor Who and the Silurians'', and were created by Malcolm Hulke. The first Silurians introduced are depicted as prehistoric and scientifically advanced sentient humanoids who predate the dawn of man; in their backstory, the Silurians went into self-induced hibernation to survive what they predicted to be a large atmospheric upheaval caused by the Earth capturing the Moon. The Qing dynasty ( ), officially the Great Qing,, was a Manchu-led imperial dynasty of China and the last orthodox dynasty in Chinese history. TARDIS
