Districts Of Somaliland
The Districts of Somaliland (also known as local government districts) are second-level administrative subdivisions of Somaliland, below the level of region. There are a total of 22 district, each district is rated A, B, C, or D according to population, budget, and economic scale with the highest being A grade. The district where the state capital is located is always Class A (by Article 9 of the Local Government Law). The region with the most districts is Sanaag region (5), while the region with the fewest is Sahil region (2). The notation follows the Somali version of the 2019 Local Government Act. Baki District
Baki District ( so, Degmada Baki) is a Administrative divisions of Somaliland, district in the Awdal region of western Somaliland. Demographics Baki is inhabited by the Reer Nuur branch of the Makahiil and Reer Mohamed branch of the Mahad 'Ase subclans of the Gadabuursi Dir (clan), Dir clan. Baligubadle District
Baligubadle District ( so, Degmada Baligubadle) is a district in the Maroodi Jeex region of Somaliland. The district was created in 2019 and was carved out of the wider Hargeisa District. The capital of the district is Baligubadle. which straddles the border with the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Economy The district's inhabitants are mostly pastoralist whereby the local economy is predominantly dependent on livestock trade, however small-scale rain fed farming is also practiced. Demographics The district has approximately 40,000 inhabitants. Gabiley ( so, Gabiley, ar, غابيلي), also known as Gebiley, is a city in the Maroodi Jeex region of Somaliland. Gabiley is located 58 km west of Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland. It is in the center of the Gabiley district, bounded on the north by the Gulf of Aden, on the west by the Awdal region, on the east by the Hargeisa district, and on the south by the Somali Region of Ethiopia.
