The Provincial Deputation of Huelva ( es, links=no, Diputación Provincial de Huelva) is the institution charged with the government and administration of the Spanish province of Huelva. History Even though there was a spell of trial of the provincial deputations across Spain during the 1820–1823 Trienio Liberal, the current organization in the province of Huelva was constituted on 16 November 1835. The provincial deputies originally represented the judicial districts of Huelva, Aracena, La Palma del Condado Ayamonte, Moguer and El Cerro del Andévalo, the latter of which was replaced in 1847 by that of Valverde del Camino. A Provincial Council (also sometimes translated literally as ''provincial deputation'', Spanish: ''diputación provincial'') is the administrator and governing body of a province of Spain. It is one of the entities that make up local government in Spain. The Council is made up of a president, vice presidents, an executive committee and the plenary assembly of deputies. Huelva () is a province of southern Spain, in the western part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is bordered by Portugal, the provinces of Badajoz, Seville, and Cádiz, and the Atlantic Ocean. Its capital is Huelva. Its area is 10,148 km². Huelva (, ) is a city in southwestern Spain, the capital of the province of Huelva in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is between two short rias though has an outlying spur including nature reserve on the Gulf of Cádiz coast. The rias are of the Odiel and Tinto rivers and are good natural harbors. According to the 2010 census, the city had a population of 149,410. Huelva is home to Recreativo de Huelva, the oldest football club in Spain. In Spain, a judicial district ( es, Partido judicial) is a territorial unit for the administration of justice, composed of one or more municipalities bordering and within the same province. Among the municipalities that make up the judicial parties, one of them, usually the largest or highest number of contentious matters occur, it is called head of judicial party.
